Membership Community Guidelines
Please read these Community Guidelines carefully before using or posting comments on our Website or Facebook page
This is a private, members-only community. To keep this our membership-based community united and supportive, please take a moment to read through these Community Guidelines. All members are required and expected to follow these guidelines below.
Any posts that do not comply with these Community Guidelines will be removed, and repeat offenders may have their membership permanently terminated.
Respect Our Community and Other Members.
This membership site is a place for you to come together with other members to support each other around natural and traditional medical treatments as well as nutrition to maximize the health of your child and family.
Our aim is to have a community where everyone feels free to share and post information about their experiences in a safe environment.
We encourage kindness and respect for each member – and for our community as a whole. We encourage you to do your part to help create a supportive community around good nutrition and healthy children and families.
No Name-Calling or Insults.
We recognize that our community members come from many backgrounds and have many different viewpoints.
Please be respectful of other member’s opinions and beliefs. We know there are many ways to approach health and wellness of a child or family, and we encourage your free sharing of opinion but we do not permit attacks on other members, their philosophies, or their choices when it comes to medical treatment or caring for their child or family.
We do not tolerate posts that include name-calling, insulting, berating, argumentative, condescending, personally attacking, swearing, criticizing, mocking, or otherwise disparaging others’ lifestyles or personal choices.
Any post or comment that demeans another member of any sort based on race or ethnic origin, disability, age, gender, religion or sexual orientation/gender identity, or otherwise, will not be tolerated.
You are not permitted to send, post, use or add in any way material or content that is illegal, offensive, abusive, indecent, harmful, defamatory, obscene or menacing, threatening, defamatory, objectionable, or in any other way harmful, offensive, or disrespectful of any other person or that would cause them emotional and/or psychological harm, so please refrain from doing so.
We reserve the right to remove any post that we believe, in our sole discretion, violates any term of these Community Guidelines.
We have zero tolerance for any form of stalking, harassment, invasion of privacy or any other form of behavior that could be deemed as harassment. Should it become evident that you or another member is acting in a way that could be perceived as harassment, we reserve our right to remove posts, block you or another member from further participation, and/or take legal action, if needed.
Please do not engage in threadjacking. Be courteous of thread topics that have been started by someone else, and focus on the original question or discussion. If you would like to start a new discussion about a subject tangential to a thread, please start a new thread to pursue it.
Respect Other Members’ Privacy.
Confidentiality between and among our members is important and needs to be respected.
If someone sends you a private message or e-mail, please do not repost the contents of their message or e-mail on the membership site, and do not share such information with other members without permission from the original sender.
Don’t spam, mass mail or violate another member’s privacy. Never email or contact another member without their advance permission.
Members come and go from our community, but please refrain from using “flounce” posts which are final posts criticizing a member or us that are written to stir up drama or to express criticism or disparage our members, business or community.
You are not permitted to make comments, privately or publicly, including on this Website or social media site, that have the effect or appearance of disparaging or harming our members, content, practice, or staff.
If you have a concern that you would like to address relating to another member, this community or our practice, please contact us directly at email@example.com and we will be happy to help you address or resolve your concern.
No Self-Promotion or Business Promotion.
This site is designed to be used for personal use only. Threads and posts are to remain free of any form of self-promotion or business promotion. You may not create links to your websites, blogs or other business ventures that may afford you tangible financial gain. This includes online petitions or fundraising for charity.
This site is not to be used for market research or any other information-gathering for personal gain. You are also not permitted to sell, promote, or market your own business in any way, including by promoting links to sales pages or affiliate programs for your own or for another’s business if that link will financially benefit you in some way, unless you have received advance written permission from us.
An exception may be made for specific individuals or businesses we have invited to be our guest bloggers, speakers, or partners in some capacity. Only those individuals and businesses for whom we have given advance permission may share or promote their business or message in the community.
Appropriate Use of Images and Intellectual Property.
Please use your own and others’ photos, images, copyrighted materials, trademarks and other intellectual property legally, appropriately and with proper discretion.
You are not permitted to use photos of individuals who are not aware that you are posting their images. Stock photos, advertisements, and inspiration photos are acceptable, provided you have purchased or obtained the legal right to use them and you are not engaging in copyright infringement. Please post a link for attribution.
If you are not certain whether you have permission to use a photo, image or written text belonging to another, please ask the photographer, author or publisher prior to using it and obtain the appropriate copyright permissions.
Respect Our Staff and Moderators.
Our Staff and Website Moderators share their time, effort, and expertise with this community, and work hard to create a fun, helpful, and supportive experience for all of our members.
We welcome discussion about our policies, but opinions and statements about individual staff members, moderators, or moderation decisions should be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org by private message and not expressed in posts or threads.
We expect you to treat our staff and moderators with the same respect as other members, as all of these same Community Guidelines apply to them as well.
